Considering how much the Seahawks have prioritized the “always compete” mantra under the leadership of John Schneider and Pete Carroll, it shouldn’t be surprising the team targeted players with backgrounds playing multiple positions at a high level during last month’s 2019 NFL Draft.

Among the many new Seahawks who will add to the competition and provide immense versatility, fourth-round pick Ugo Amadi started 34 total games at safety and nickel cornerback at Oregon. Though only 5-foot-9, the defensive Swiss Army Knife stuffed the stat sheet with 165 tackles, nine interceptions, two defensive touchdowns, 8.5 tackles for loss, and 3.0 sacks playing for the Ducks.

Now transitioning to the NFL, does Amadi have what it takes to play slot cornerback for Seattle? Check out analyst Corbin Smith’s latest film study as he looks at his strengths and weaknesses relative to the position.
