The Seattle Seahawks are moving on to Atlanta. Led by running back Thomas Rawls, the Seahawks galloped to a 26-6 victory over the Detroit Lions in the Saturday NFC Wild Card slate between the two teams.
Rawls ran for a season-high 161 yards on the ground on 27 carries with a four-yard touchdown as Seattle’s run game totaled 179 yards against the Lions. Rawls rushed for over 100 yards in the first half alone, becoming the first Seahawks running back to post 100 or more rushing yards in the first half of a postseason game. This was the sixth 100-yard game of his young career.
Rawls’ touchdown run gave the Seahawks a sizeable 19-6 lead with 8:49 remaining in the fourth quarter.
Through the air, Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson smoothly completed 23 of 30 passes for 224 yards with two touchdowns and posted a 119.3 passer rating.
