The Pirates begin their 9-game road trip with a 5-2 loss. There just was not enough hitting or pitching tonight for Pittsburgh. Jon Neise got beat around in 4 2/3 innings as he allowed 5 runs, including a 2-run homer to Nelson Cruz. David Freese and Starling Marte drove in runs for the Bucs. Seattle’s starter Iwakuma was great as he kept the Pirates at bay over 6 2/3 innings, allowing only 2 runs.
