Today we had a short window of time before joining the team, so we hit the resistance bands for a short, sharp session. We kept the pattern the same with the bands so that movement was consistent, and all sets were 6 repetitions. The key here was to keep the movements small and focus on making the footwork transitions as quickly as possible. These exercises can be performed without the bands as an excellent warm-up to a session, and they can be expanded upon in numerous ways using different technical skills (handling, diving, playing with the feet, etc…). 10 minutes of heart thumping fun!
