The first home game of Lamar Seels’s junior year could have been his last, after a teammate landed on his knee. “My leg snapped and folded over.” The doctors who rushed onto the field couldn’t find a pulse in Lamar’s leg. “They took me by ambulance to the Baylor Scott & White ER.” MRIs and x-rays showed serious injuries. “My knee was dislocated and all but one ligament was torn. Looked like I’d never play again.” But Lamar wouldn’t give up. “My doctors and rehab team said if I wanted to play, they’d do their best to help.” After surgery, Lamar threw himself into nine months of daily rehab. His effort paid off in a triumphant return—and a winning senior-year season. For more information, visit us at https://www.BSWHealth.com/Ortho.
